May 25 - 29, 2024
SYNERGISE was present during the ISCRAM 2024 conference, which followed a pracademic approach and was jointly hosted by the ERCIS Competence Center for Crisis Management at the University of Münster and the State Fire Service Institute North Rhine-Westphalia.
The conference theme, “Embracing the Crisis Management Lifecycle,” emphasized a holistic and integrated process view of crisis management, highlighting the importance of well-structured and clearly defined roles, tasks, and processes to support communication and collaboration between involved actors.
Representing our team, Harris Georgiou from the Hellenic Rescue Team of Attica presented his accepted paper on the first day, focusing on search and rescue operations and the impact of new technologies, particularly those being developed within the SYNERGISE project.
On the second day, our coordinator, Tiina Ristmäe, showcased the SYNERGISE project during the poster session, discussing the project’s objectives and the collaborative efforts of our team of 19 international partners to achieve these goals within the project lifecycle.
This presentation engaged an audience of both researchers and practitioners, underscoring SYNERGISE’s commitment to advancing crisis management through innovative technologies and collaborative research.
